Gingko Tourism Education Cases Selected as

To learn and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on tourism, the "22nd Joint Meeting of Deans, Heads of Departments and Professionals of Tourism Colleges and Universities in China" was held in Guizhou from May 25th to 26th, hosted by National Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Tourism Management of the Ministry of Education and National Colleges and Universities Tourism Colleges and Universities Union, and co-sponsored by the Tourism Management Teaching Guidance Committees of Colleges and Universities of all provinces (cities and autonomous regions). The "22nd Joint Meeting of Deans, Heads of Departments and Professionals of National Colleges and Universities in Tourism" was held in Guizhou. Jia Rong, Executive Dean of the School of Culture and Tourism, and Zhang Huihui, Director of the Tourism Management Teaching and Research Department, attended the meeting.

In the early stage of the meeting, the tourism education case of "Rooted in local, highlighting the application, school-enterprise collaboration: the practice of "one, two, six" mode of applied undergraduate talent cultivation in tourism management class - Chengdu Gingko Hotel Management College as an example" was discussed with the South China Normal University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Guizhou Normal University, Shanghai Normal University and Guizhou Normal University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Guizhou Normal University, Beijing Union University and other 60 cases were selected as one of the 100 excellent cases of tourism education in China. At the conference, the organisers awarded certificates to the winning institutions.

Jia Rong was invited to make a special speech on the topic of the case. The speech was not only recognised by the Teaching Steering Committee of Tourism Management in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and the participating colleges and universities but also enhanced the influence and popularity of our university in the national tourism management colleges and universities.

Ma Yong, director of the National Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Tourism Management of the Ministry of Education and deputy director of the Teaching Steering Committee for Tourism Management in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, and Zhang Qingguo, former second-level inspector of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, delivered speeches respectively, both pointing out that cultivating and gathering a team of high-quality talents in line with the development of tourism is the key to the development of the pillar industry of the strategy of a strong tourism nation and the high-quality development of the tourism industry. Nearly 300 deans, department heads and professional leaders from more than 130 colleges and universities across the country attended this meeting.
