Established in 2002, as a national first-class hotel management specialty construction higher education institute, Gingko College of Hospitality Management, or Gingko College for short, grew out of Yinxing Hospitality Management College of CUIT (Chengdu University of Information Technology). With over 10,000 students, Gingko College is a Ministry of Education (MOE)-registered full-time institution of tertiary education and funded by Chengdu Gingko Asset Management Co., Ltd.

Covers an area of around 1,000mu (about 66.67 hectares), the College consists of two campuses: Chengdu Campus and Yibin Campus. Located in the Pidu District of Chengdu, the Chengdu Campus of Gingko College is provided with accessible transportation, a picturesque environment, well-rounded teaching facilities and domestic installations. The Yibin Campus of Gingko College, situated in the Nanxi District of Yibin, takes pride in its first-class "Gingko Standard" teaching hotel and Smart Experiment Center, which can offer students of different disciplines practical training experience. 

Chengdu Campus

In 2022, Gingko College's hotel management program was approved as 'the National First-class Undergraduate Program'. In 2020, Gingko College was awarded as “2020 Brand-influential Private Colleges & Universities” by CCTV Education Annual Gala and honored as “2020 Excellent Private Colleges & Universities” and “2020 Model Colleges & Universities for Entrepreneurship and Employment” by Tencent Education Annual Gala. In the 2019 Chinese Universities Evaluation and Study Report, CUAA rated its Hospitality Management program as a six-star program, the top-notch undergraduate program of independent colleges in China.

Adhering to “Empowering the Students & Serving the Society”, its educational philosophy, Gingko College has evolved into an institution of higher education featured by hospitality and tourism management. In school, students are also educated by professionals specializing in management science, literature, art, engineering, education and economics. Over the years of development, it has cultivated skill-savvy talent ready to join the modern service industry. The College offers 28 undergraduate programs and 28 non-degree programs, many of which are rated exemplary programs in Sichuan.

Yibin Campus and the Gingko▪Standard Hotel

Gingko College practices the OBE talent development concept, and constantly improves the application-oriented talent training mode of industry-education integration and college-enterprise dual talents cultivation. In addition, the College has worked with hundreds of famous enterprises at home and abroad in discipline development, course development, faculty development, construction of practical teaching base and student internship and employment, and established innovative talent cultivation model with domestic and overseas large-scale hotel management enterprises, including Hilton, InterContinental, Marriott, etc.

The College underlines its strategy of international development and has garnered remarkable achievements in the internationalization of course R&D, faculty and teaching model, and in its teachers’ and students’ participation in international activities. In recent years, the College has signed various cooperation agreements with renowned schools of hotel management such as SEG-Swiss Education Group, Sheffield Harlem University, Canterbury Christ Church University, Prince of Songkla University, and Dusit Thani College, and has conducted in-depth collaboration on a broad spectrum of realms, such as exchange visits, joint teaching, R&D, and promotion of academic certification.

Because of the outstanding abilities of its talent, the College has earned recognition throughout the industry, and its graduates have been much sought after by employers. With the total employment rate of its graduates in recent three years reaching above 90%, the vast majority of Gingko graduates have secured satisfying jobs and become the backbone in the management of enterprises.

With the aim of serving the local economic construction and industrial development, the College is based in Sichuan, serving western China, showing certain national influence, and taking morality education as the fundamental principle. Taking the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation as the approach, the College tries to build a national first-class hotel management undergraduate college with distinctive characteristics to meet the development needs of the cultural and tourism industry in Sichuan Province, especially the hotel industry.
