Gingko College Attended the International Conference on Tourism and Retail Service Management 2019

From October 27th to 28th, 2019, the International Conference on Tourism and Retail Service Management 2019, jointly hosted by College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management of South Carolina, College of Tourism and Service Management of Nankai University, and the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, was held with a theme of “Opportunities and Challenges for Tourism and Retail Services in the New Era” in Tianjin. Dr. Fu Jing, Vice President of Gingko College, Xu Junyi, Acting Director of the Department of Hotel Management(DHM), Jia Rong, Acting Director of the Department of Tourism Management(DTM), led Gingko College’s research team attended the conference.

Two high-quality research papers of Gingko College representatives were invited to present in the panel sessions, which are entitled "Raising Hotel Staff Retention Rate: Creating a Successful Industry-education Partnership" and "Optimizing Tourism Community Governance from the Production of Culture & Tourism Space—A Case Study in Happy Commune, Chengdu"

Assoc. Prof. Xu Junyi and Lecturer Zhang Qianqian from DHM presented their work

Dr. Zhao’s paper was awarded as one of the five best papers of the conference. She was happily share the honor with researchers from tourism and hotel schools of Sun Yat-sen University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies. 

Prof. Carson Lewis Jenkins, Emeritus Professor of University of Strathclyde/ Honorary Professor of Naikai University and Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism presented the award to Dr. Zhao Ping.
