The 2nd Chinese As a Foreign Language Teaching (Online) Internship Program Was Conducted

On June 1, the 2nd Chinese as a Foreign Language Teaching (Online) Internship Program jointly conducted by our College and the Wan Li Tong Language School in Thailand was officially launched!

The opening ceremony was hosted by Wu Zhenwen, the Chinese principal of Wan Li Tong Language School in Thailand. Wu Zhenwen firstly briefly introduced the current situation of Chinese language education and teaching in Thailand, and pointed out that the foreign language internship program carried out by our foreign language students in three schools in Thailand last year was highly recognized by the Thai side, and this year the number of internship schools increased to seven, including Princess Sirindhorn School, Nambun Charlene Technical College, and the secondary school affiliated to the University of Arts, etc. The purpose is to provide more Thai public and private schools with opportunities for students to learn Chinese language and Chinese culture, improve the learning ability of Chinese language and Chinese culture, and enhance the management level of Chinese language teaching in schools.

Professor Huang Ming, Director of the Department of Foreign Languages of our college, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Ms. Huang firstly thanked the Thai school for providing us with the internship opportunity of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, for the trust and full support for the project, and for allowing our students to have real cross-cultural communication during the internship. 

Speaking on behalf of the Thai school, Penny Sirisaanpaisan, Vice Principal of Academic Affairs of Lithia Wanalai II High School, expressed her pleasure to provide Chinese teaching internship opportunities for students from Chengdu, China, and believed that the semester-long program would help promote and improve English-Chinese teaching in Thai schools, expand students' educational opportunities, broaden their horizons, improve their Chinese language skills, enhance their knowledge of Chinese culture, and promote the long-lasting friendship between Thailand and China.
