1. Chinese for Hospitality and Tourism

In order to deepen the international communication between Gingko College and overseas partner institutions and further promote the internationalization of Gingko College’s curriculum, on November 10 and 24 2021, two online courses were successfully held by the Department of Foreign Languages at Gingko and attended by 36 students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism at the Prince of Songkla University (PSU-FHT) in Thailand. Organized by Global Engagement Center, the courses were titled "Chinese for Hospitality and Tourism".

The two courses were taught by Mr. Sun Huayu, lecturer at Gingko College, and Ms. Huang Ming, Director of the Department of Foreign Languages. Mr. Sun and Ms. Huang took famous tourist attractions and the special cuisines of Sichuan as a starting point, and taught students important phrases in Chinese related to hospitality using role play and scene reappearance. The two courses lasted 3 hours each, and Thai students participated enthusiastically, commenting afterwards that they learned a lot of practical hotel expressions in Chinese.

It is just one of a series of events at Gingko whose successes have deepened the friendship with, and promoted further cooperation between, Gingko and Prince of Songkla University.
