Gingko College of Hospitality Management Launches Hotel Chinese Online Courses for PSU

In order to deepen the international exchanges between Gingko College of Hospitality Management and the overseas partner colleges, promoting the internationalization of the college’s courses, led by the International Academic Exchange and Research Center & the Department of Foreign Languages, Gingko College successfully launched two online language and culture courses with the theme of "Hotel Chinese" for 36 teachers and students of the School of Hotel and Tourism of Prince of Songkhla University in Thailand （PSU-FHT）in November 10 and 17, 2021.

The two courses were respectively taught by the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages. The hotel's Chinese language knowledge was taught through small class lectures, role-playing, and scene reproduction, taking Sichuan’s famous tourist attractions and special cuisine as the starting point. The two courses lasted 3 hours for each. And the Thai students actively interacted and participated enthusiastically, indicating that they have learned a lot of practical hotel Chinese expressions.

This hotel Chinese course not only showed Thai students the rich natural and cultural landscape of Sichuan, but also allowed Thai students to learn the common hotel Chinese expressions, including Chinese conversations such as check-in, check-out, and ordering. It is of great significance to promote the follow-up cooperation between Gingko College of Hospitality Management and the School of Hotel and Tourism of Prince of Songkla University and deepen the friendship between the two parties.

It is reported that the PSU-FHT will also bring two online language cultural courses with the theme of "Hotel English" to Gingko teachers and students on Dec. 1st & 17th.
