"Revisit the Long March Road and Recall the Years"——The 4th "Gingko Cup" Cultural Tourism Series Activities

On May 19th, the fourth "Gingko Cup" cultural tourism series of Gingko College of Hospitality Management and the "Revisit the Long March Road and Recall the Years" Cultural Week opened in the multifunctional hall. Zhou Xiaoding, Vice President of the Sichuan Tourism Association, Liu Wukang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Fu Jing, Deputy Dean, heads of related functional departments, and the outstanding alumni from the Department of Tourism Management participated in the event.


This Culture Week on Campus has a series of activities, including "Theme Lectures", "Long March Theme Exhibition", "Alumni Gift Tree Ceremony", and "Survey on Sichuan Red Tourism Resources".

It is reported that with the strong support from the College, relying on the Gingko Cultural Tourism series studios such as the Research and Study Travel Studio, the Exhibition Studio, and the Etiquette Studio, the Department of Tourism Management has continuously held a series of cultural and tourism activities with different themes since 2018, including the "Exploring the Intangible Heritage" and "Ginkgo Cultural Tourism", "Alumni Forum", "Top Ten Historical Celebrities in Sichuan", "Revisiting the Long March Road, Recalling the Past", etc., which have greatly improved students' practical and innovative abilities. Focusing on the talent training positioning of "tourism + culture" integration, the College builds the practical education model of "knowledge and action integration" and the level practice system of "school industry cognitive practice + in-curricular training + comprehensive training of courses and positions + studio training + comprehensive skills practice training + graduation internship". As a result, all the students from freshman to senior could progress in different stages and levels, which would promote them to integrate the theoretical knowledge and practical activities that they have learned at all stages, and to improve students' comprehensive capabilities such as creativity, planning, publicity, organization, marketing and execution, aiming to achieve the simultaneous improvement of students' professional quality and the professional ability.
