the 1st Career Guidance Simulation Semi-final Contest in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (Sichuan Division)

On March 5, 2021, the first Career Guidance Simulation Semi-final Contest in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (Sichuan Division) was held in Gingko College of Hospitality Management. This competition was jointly organized by Chongqing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Sichuan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. With the theme of Lighting Up Career, Jobs Leading the Future, the competition was actively innovated by taking career guidance and practical ability as the core of the competition in response to the actual confusion of job seekers and the employment problems of the enterprises. Case defense was adopted in the semi-final stage, focusing on the overall thinking and skills of the players, making the scene full of highlights, fully reflecting the characteristics of the combination of learning and application, and focusing on actual effects. The top 20 players in the preliminary round from the provincial public employment service agencies and related industries (enterprises) competed on the same stage. Representative senior experts in the field of career guidance served as the judges of the competition.

In the competition, the contestants showed their strengths, combined with their own guidance cases, and demonstrated the whole process of the perfect integration of professional guidance theory teaching and practice. The semi-final adopted the idea of “dispersing most of the people and gathering a small group of people, holding the competition offline and watching online”. The competition process was divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge answering, personal work highlights displaying and service case oral defense. Huang Qing from Sichuan Agricultural University, Liu Liya from Luzhou Vocational and Technical College, Liu Feng from Sichuan Vocational College of Information Technology, Liu Sini from Sichuan Agricultural University, and Wang Xiaochun from the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Changning County, Yibin City combined their professional experience and got the "final pass." All 20 contestants received the letter of appointment issued by the Sichuan Career Service Center and were included in the talent pool of career instructors in both Sichuan and Chongqing.
