Glad News: 2 Undergraduate Majors of Ginkgo College of Hospitality Management was Approved

Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the "Notice on Announcement of the Results of the Filing and Approval of Undergraduate Majors in Ordinary Colleges and Universities in 2020", which confirmed the approved establishment of nationally controlled majors and the list of new majors that have not yet been included in the professional catalog, and announced undergraduate professional filing and approval results of ordinary colleges and universities in 2020. Ginkgo College of Hospitality Management was approved to establish two undergraduate majors, "Tourism Management & Service Education" and "Physical Fitness Training". So far, Ginkgo College has 27 undergraduate majors and 24 junior majors.

 

Tourism Management and Service Education (Undergraduate)

 

Training objectives

 

This major adopts the concept of integration of knowledge and action to train talents. Under the background of the rapid development of cultural tourism and the continuous emergence of new business forms of tourism +, this major aims to train planning and operation management talents of tourism + education research and study travel project and tourism industry trainers. The training goal is to cultivate students’ comprehensive professional abilities such as creative planning and operation management of research travel projects, research travel market development and new media marketing, research travel industry innovation and entrepreneurship, tourism vocational education and professional training skills, and also cultivate application-oriented, compound-oriented senior professional talents who can be used in research travel companies, research and study travel base (camp), secondary tourism vocational schools, cultural tourism management departments at all levels, cultural tourism enterprises and institutions engaged in research and study travel project planning and operation, tourism professional teaching and industry post-training, cultural tourism enterprise operation and management, etc.

Physical Fitness Training (Undergraduate)

 

Training objectives

 

The Physical Fitness Training major cultivates students’ comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, which requires students to master high scientific and cultural literacy, corresponding modern and digital-physical training concepts and scientific research capabilities, and systematically master the basic theories, basic knowledge, basic skills of physical training major and related knowledge of sports medicine, be full of innovative spirit and modern training concepts, and be able to engage in the professional teaching of physical fitness training for the competitive sports industry, the public health promotion field, professional teaching and training for the special population (industry), scientific research and management, aiming to let students become experts in this field while possessing all-round knowledge and ability.
